Hello everyone,
Please excuse me for writing in English. My French is bad.
I'm attempting to run Skype on Ubuntu 6.10 but having a problem with the microphone. During the test call, I can hear myself recording my voice through my microphone, but I do not hear my voice during playback.
I'm using HDA Intel (Alsa mixer) for my sound settings.
Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Rashunda

Hi,
are you sure that your microphone is selected as the recording device and not only as a playback device ? I think that you can check this in the Gnome Sound manager, but I can help you more because I'm running KDE.
Perhaps this page could help you : http://alsa.opensrc.org/Record_from_mic.
For the language... if you speak German, you could write in the German section.

Skype uses OSS, then check if the alsa oss emulation is on. Just read the Skype's doc : http://www.skype.com/help/guides/soundsetup_linux.html
